Following British Ceramic Tiles fall into administration in January 2019, Mulberry Developments partnered with Oxenwood Real Estate to acquire, reconfigure and redevelop their former ceramic tile factory in Heathfield Industrial Estate in Newtown Abbot.

Planning consent was obtained to reconfigure the former factory into 3 separate units, which covers over 350,000 sq ft of warehouse space on the17-acre site. The redevelopment works saw long leasehold deals for each of the units and now boasts three well known tenants.

The fully occupied development has Gregory Distribution in unit 1, GM Coachworks, one of the largest manufacturers of wheelchair accessible vehicles, in unit 2 and Pro-Direct, one of the largest online football retailers in the world, in unit 3.

The successful delivery of the scheme has reintroduced activity and employment back to the Heathfield Industrial Estate.
