We are pleased to have partnered with Middlefield Developments and Oxenwood Real Estate to refurbish and reconfigure a former ceramic tile factory on the Heathfield Industrial Estate in Newton Abbot.

The massive manufacturing building by the A38 is one of the largest in the South West and is to be divided into two or 3 smaller units to deliver high quality manufacturing and storage space in an underserved market.

The former BCT factory covers 400,000 sq ft on a 17 acre site and is set to create over 350 new jobs.

Unit 1- Sold – Gregory Distribution

We are delighted to announce that the first unit at the former tile factory at our Heathfield Power Park 38 development has been purchased by leading logistics company Gregory Distribution who will move into the 75,500 sq ft high bay warehouse at the site before Christmas when refurbishment works are completed.

John Gregory, Chief Executive of Gregory Distribution said: “This is a strategic acquisition for the firm and will provide a facility for over 12,000 pallets that are stored and distributed for clients. “The extensive, internal height of 15 metres to the eaves within the former finished goods warehouse allows high bay racking and is therefore very efficient.” After acquiring the 390,000 sq ft factory in September 2019, works have commenced on site in order to refurbish and reconfigure the building it into three separate units.

Unit 2 – Sold – GM Coachworks

We are pleased to announce that we have secured GM Coachworks as the purchaser for Unit 2 at Power Park 38, Heathfield. GM Coachworks Ltd is one of the country’s largest manufacturers of wheelchair accessible vehicles and drive-from wheelchair vehicles whilst also being the second largest supplier of wheelchair accessible vehicles to the Motability Scheme.

The second of the three units at Power Park 38 offers over 67,000 sq ft of high-quality space, where the latest CAD technology will be used to design and manufacture disability compliant vehicles.


Unit 3 – For Sale

PowerPark 38, situated on Heathfield Industrial Estate, which is located adjacent to the A38 Devon Expressway and is the former British Ceramic Tile factory.

Unit A, which is currently undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment offers nearly 210,000 sq ft of space which is ideal for distribution, warehousing, logistics and manufacturing uses.
